There are some people who think tattoos can give a certain impression on the owner, or anyone deliberately gave the tattoos on his body that has a specific meaning, and there is also a form of writing Arabic tattoo (tattoo). Well, how the law tattoos and tattoo in the religion of Islam whether it is justified or forbidden ..

Laws About Tattoos
Tattoos
in Arabic is called 'al-wasymu, ie inserting a needle into the body (skin) to include a colored substance causing a desired image on the body (skin) it.

Purpose of making
a tattoo on the body so that the tattooed felt himself under certain circumstances in accordance with her wishes. Because it's kind of tattoo jewelry.

God allows a person to use or make jewelry on his body. Allah says;

إِنَّا جَعَلْنَا مَا عَلَى اْلأَرْضِ زِينَةً لَهَا لِنَبْلُوَهُمْ أَيُّهُمْ أَحْسَنُ عَمَلاً
Meaning:

"Say; 'Whom God forbid jewelery from him that had been issued for his servants, and (who forbid) good fortune.' Say;" Everything was reserved for people of faith (and no faith) in the life world, solely for those who believe in the day of Judgment. Thus we explain the Signs in that for people who know '. "(Qur'an-A'raf {7}: 32)

It can be concluded that the law basically tattoo permissible according to the word of God at the top, because it includes jewelry. But if the negative result of the tattoo, the meaning of faith can damage, destroy morality and so, like most tattoos that are common today, the law can become makruh or haram,

 This is because the rules Usul Fiqh :

It means: "The law was circulated following the illatnya (why), both the presence and absence (no illat, no laws: there is no illat, no law)."

Tattoos include the affairs of society, because any difference to people who see other people with tattoos, and perhaps there is also the influence of the tattoo to the person wearing it.
